Eric A. Pizza, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Pizza is a native of Toledo, Ohio practicing Urology since 1988. After graduating from St. John Jesuit High School, he obtained a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Cincinnati. He returned to Toledo where he completed his M.D. degree at Medical College Ohio. He remained at MCO where he completed his urology residency in 1988. He chose to continue practicing in Northwest Ohio after finishing his residency. He is board certified in Urology by the American Board of Urology since 1991. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Surgery (FACS). Dr. Pizza has special interests in Urologic cancer, treatment of urinary stone disease, and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. He performs minimally invasive surgeries and was one of the first urologists to bring innovative surgeries to this area, including the Neobladder for Bladder Cancer and Cryotherapy of the prostate and kidney.
Dr. Pizza has served on multiple committees in the area including, Past Head of the Department of Urology at The Toledo Hospital, Past President of the Northwest Ohio Urologic Society. He has been the Section Head of Urology at St. Luke’s Hospital from 2003 to the present. He has also served on the Executive Committee at St. Luke’s hospital.
Dr. Pizza is presently the Chairman for The Department of Surgery at St Lukes.
