David A. Taub, M.D.
Dr. David Taub completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning a Bachelor of Sciences in biopsychology in 1995. He went on to graduate from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2000. While a student at Wayne State, he was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha—a national society honoring academic excellence in medical studies.
After medical school, Dr. Taub returned to Ann Arbor where he completed a one year general surgery internship at the University of Michigan. In 2006, he completed his residency in urology at the University of Michigan. During his residency, Dr. Taub trained under several internationally renowned urologists, qualifying him to offer comprehensive urologic care and the most current surgical techniques to patients in northwest Ohio. Additionally, he developed an interest in clinical outcomes and quality of care research, which inspired 18 articles published in leading urologic journals and presented his work at several national conferences.
Following his residency training, Dr. Taub remained on staff with an appointment as a Clinical Lecturer at the Ann Arbor Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Department of Urology at the University of Michigan. During this time, he enjoyed teaching medical students and residents and was able to further cultivate his clinical interests in stone disease and urologic oncology. Dr. Taub also spent his time after residency attending the University of Michigan Ross School of Business where he earned a master’s degree in business administration with high distinction.
Dr. Taub is a member of the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, and the Ohio State Medical Association. Dr. Taub continues to actively pursue leadership roles in medical organizations, a discipline which began early in his career. Most notably, Dr. Taub has served as an Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the 900 member House Officer Association at the University of Michigan Health System, the North Central Section’s delegate to the American Urological Association’s Resident Committee, an involved member of the Billing Compliance Committee at the University of Michigan Health System, as well as a member of the Finance Committee at the University of Michigan Department of Urology.
Dr. Taub joined Genito-Urinary Surgeons in June of 2007 and is delighted to contribute as a new member of the greater Toledo community. He sees patients in Toledo and Bowling Green. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Dr. Taub prioritizes quality time with his wife and their two young children.
