We at Genito-Urinary Surgeons take a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancers

Except for situations that require inpatient hospitalization, our Executive Parkway location has the facilities to service your urologic cancer needs under one roof.

Our on-site Imaging center offers Cat Scanning, Ultrasound, and Plain film x-ray including Intravenous pyelogram. This benefits patients by having most of their imaging performed in one central location with easy access to your studies by our doctors.

Convenience of on-site blood draw station with your sample sent to the appropriate lab.

Prostate Cancer

• Performed the first robotic daVinci™ prostatectomy in Northwest Ohio
• Most number of robotic daVinci™ prostatectomies in Northwest Ohio
• Directorships of the robotics programs at both major hospital systems in Northwest Ohio
• Largest cryosurgery (freezing to kill tumors) experience in Northwest Ohio
• Extensive brachytherapy (radioactive seed implantation) experience
• Diagnosis performed in office with convenience of onsite prostate visualization and biopsy
• Biopsy specimens evaluated by our own pathologist
• Patients are enrolled into a treatment pathway for coordination and optimization of care.

Very large and active laparoscopic oncology practice using the latest in minimally invasive surgical techniques to treat all urinary tract cancers including:

• radical nephrectomy (removal of entire kidney)
• partial nephrectomy, (removal of only cancerous portion of kidney)
• nephro-ureterectomy (removal of kidney and ureter)
• Cryo-therapy (freezing of kidney tumor)

• Extensive training and expertise in bladder cancer treatment
• Diagnosis and treatment of superficial bladder cancer in our adjacent ambulatory surgery center
• Some bladder cancers once diagnosed are treated with instillation of medication into the bladder—this is performed on site in our office
• Advance reconstructive techniques can be employed if removal of the bladder becomes necessary. This creation of a Neo-bladder, or new bladder, can help in the emotional and functional recovery of the patient
• Necessary follow-up imaging studies performed on site
• Alternative and supplemental therapies for cancer (Theralogix)
